Job Title: Network Field Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- In office & Remote Support: Act as the first line of defense for client network issues, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems both remotely and in person.
- Routing & Switching: Install, configure, and troubleshoot network routers and switches to optimize traffic flow and ensure maximum uptime.
- LAN Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain local area networks, including cabling, access points, and switch configurations (VLANs, STP).
- Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network security appliances (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Sophos, or Palo Alto) to protect client data and enforce security policies.
- EPABX Administration: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot EPABX (Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange) and IP telephony systems to ensure reliable voice communication for clients.
- Documentation & Reporting: Log all support tickets, document technical configurations,



and maintain accurate records of network layouts and hardware inventory.
- Client Communication: Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical client stakeholders and provide updates on resolution times.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in network support, IT infrastructure, or a similar field engineering role.
- Core Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, and common routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Strong background in LAN/WAN infrastructure and troubleshooting network loops or latency.
- Practical experience managing firewalls (rules, VPNs, NAT).
- Familiarity with analog and digital EPABX systems.
- Certifications (preferred): CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CompTIA Network+, or vendor-specific firewall certifications (e.g., NSE4).
