What You'll Do

The Command & Control Centre Associate is responsible for ensuring the
reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence of Walmart's
technology platforms through a combination of software engineering,
observability, automation, incident management, and cross-functional
coordination.

The associate applies engineering principles to identify system anomalies,
analyse operational data, develop automation solutions, improve monitoring
capabilities, reduce operational toil, and enhance platform resilience. The role
requires solid software engineering fundamentals, hands-on production coding,
and the ability to lead high-pressure incident response for customer-facing
systems at Walmart scale.

What You'll Do

Full Lifecycle Development

* Own the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) for Command & Control
Centre platforms, products, automation frameworks, and engineering
solutions—from requirements gathering, architecture design, development,
testing, deployment, operations,



and continuous improvement of in-house
tools.
* Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, resilient, and
observable software solutions that improve platform reliability, operational
effectiveness, and customer and associate experience.
* Develop production-grade applications, services, APIs, automation platforms,
bots, and integrations using Python (primary) and technologies such as
JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, or C# as appropriate.
* Apply software design principles, design patterns, secure coding practices,
and engineering standards to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and
extensible solutions.
* Own production deployments through CI/CD pipelines using Concord, GitHub
Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms while enforcing quality gates,
security controls, and release standards.
