ASSOCIATE PRACTITIONER IN HISTOLOGY

Banding: Band 4

Location: Bristol

Working Pattern: Core hours only

Hourly Rate: £14-16.50

We are currently seeking a Band 4 Associate Practitioner specialising in
Histology to join our client’s team in Bristol. This is a full-time, ongoing
position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the
opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides
for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic
reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- HCPC registration not required
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
- Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
- Solid attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- NHS experience (preferred)
