Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead end-to-end procurement of automation components (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, panels, etc.)
- Develop and manage vendor base (OEMs, import suppliers, local vendors)
- Handle RFQs, techno-commercial comparison, negotiation, and PO release
- Ensure timely procurement as per BOM and project schedules

ImportExport Management
- Handle international sourcing and import of automation components
- Coordinate with overseas vendors, freight forwarders, and CHA (Custom House Agents)
- Manage import documentation (PI, Invoice, Packing List, BOE, COO, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, duties, and DGFT guidelines
- Track shipments, monitor lead times, and ensure on-time clearance
- Optimize freight cost (Air/Sea) and manage logistics planning
- Handle export documentation if required (Invoice, Packing List, shipping docs)

ERP & Coordination




- Maintain procurement data in ERP systems like SAP / Oracle ERP
- Coordinate with design, stores, finance, and project teams
- Monitor inventory levels along with store department

Cost & Delivery Control
- Ensure cost optimization through effective negotiation
- Track order status and resolve delays or supply issues
- Maintain alternate sourcing for critical components

Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Diploma (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation preferred)
- 812 years of experience in procurement (automation/electrical industry)

Skills Required
- Vendor development & international sourcing
- Solid knowledge of import-export procedures & documentation
- ERP knowledge (SAP B1)
- Negotiation, planning, and team management
- Understanding of BOM & technical specifications
