Role Overview:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 6 payroll associates, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. You will oversee daily payroll operations, mentor your team, and coordinate with various departments to maintain statutory compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, and Income Tax. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional with 5 to 6 years of experience who thrives in managing teams and driving operational excellence.

Role & responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 6 Payroll Associates, ensuring all payroll activities are performed accurately and timely.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and incentives.
- Ensure statutory compliance including accurate calculation and timely remittance of PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS along with the filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
- Monitor daily payroll operations, track progress, and provide hands-on support to associates as needed.




- Ensure strict confidentiality and data security throughout payroll operations.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices and disseminate knowledge within the team.
- Manage Leave & Attendance module.
- Manage minimum 20 clients payroll processing.
- Understand the client requirement and work accordingly.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support the career development of team members

Preferred candidate profile
- 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in payroll, with demonstrated expertise in payroll processing and compliance.
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring payroll staff preferably handling a team of 6 or more.
- Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, and Income Tax.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including basic funct
