Job Summary

The Weaving PPC Department oversees and manages all aspects of production planning and scheduling within the weaving mill. Key tasks include planning loom usage, running looms according to order quantities, and adjusting operations to meet production goals and quality standards.

Role Purpose

A Manager in the PPC Department ensures efficient operations, timely delivery, and 100% on-time in full (OTIF) performance. Responsibilities include managing unit operations, upholding product quality, and engaging the team. The role focuses on minimizing downtime and changeover time, increasing productivity, and coordinating with other departments to implement best practices for improving loom productivity.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

01. Developing and implementing production plans and schedules to meet customer orders, forecasts, and targets.

02. Updating daily loom run-outs to create loom plans.

03. Implementing action plans to ensure on-time delivery.

04. Monitoring daily production and quality trends.

Conducting daily order flow meetings and update product urgency.

06. Collaborating with the ACM team to track daily production against orders.

07. Planning sized beam and color yarn requirements based on order quantities.

08. Planning greige yarn requirements for sizing based on order quantities.

09. Ensuring correct color specifications in both weft and warp directions.

10. Maintaining discipline among operators and promote awareness of product value.

11. Ensuring safety compliance and proper PPE usage, addressing near-miss incidents.

12. Preparing and analyse reports to resolve loom issues.

13. Conducting weekly meetings to drive overall improvements.

14. Reporting sizing and yarn issues to the yarn procurement team for vendor action.

15. Ensuring all looms operate according to specifications.

16. Ensuring timely arrival of color and greige yarn.
