Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of automotive electronic products, including BCMs, ECUs, and sensors. This role is responsible for delivering robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions from concept through production, while working closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and validation teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for automotive electronic products, ensuring compliance with functional, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
- Create, revise, and maintain 3D models in Creo and 2D drawings in AutoCAD in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements.
- Support enclosure design, component packaging, and layout optimization for electronic systems with attention to space, thermal, structural, and assembly considerations.
- Apply sound engineering practices related to GD&T;, tolerancing, and DFM/DFA to improve product quality and production readiness.
- Collaborate with hardware, electronics,



validation, and manufacturing teams to define design requirements and resolve technical issues during development.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to address tooling, prototype, and production-related issues in a timely manner.
- Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and production launches by investigating assembly concerns and implementing design improvements as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in automotive electronics or related product domains.
- Proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastics, die casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerancing, and design for manufacturing/assembly principles.
