Key Responsibilities

1. Private Label & Category Management

· Develop and manage private-label apparel categories such as shirts, trousers, and bottom wear.

· Understand customer requirements and convert them into commercially viable products.

· Identify new product and category opportunities based on market trends and customer demand.

· Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept to final delivery.

2. Production & Product Development

· Coordinate with production teams for product development and bulk manufacturing.

· Have robust understanding of garment production processes, fabrics, trims, stitching, finishing, and quality requirements.

· Coordinate with factories and production teams to ensure timely production and delivery.

· Monitor production timelines and resolve production-related issues.

3. Merchandising & Sourcing

· Coordinate with merchandising teams for sampling, product development, approvals, and production.

· Source suitable fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials.

· Manage sample development and customer approvals.





· Ensure products are developed according to customer specifications and target costing.

4. Costing & Commercial Management

· Prepare and evaluate garment/product costing including fabric, trims, processing, stitching, finishing, packaging, logistics, and other costs.

· Understand target costing and maintain desired gross margins.

· Negotiate with suppliers and production teams to achieve competitive costs.

· Analyze product profitability and recommend appropriate pricing.

5. Sales & Business Development

· Develop and maintain relationships with brands, retailers, wholesalers, and private-label customers.

· Identify new business opportunities and generate private-label orders.

· Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate pricing, quantities, margins, and delivery timelines.

· Coordinate with customers from enquiry to order closure and final delivery.

· Achieve category-wise sales and profitability
