Role & responsibilities
- Prepare cost sheets and quotations for printing and packaging jobs.
- Calculate material requirements and costs for paper, board , films, inks, adhesives, foils, laminates and other consumables.
- Calculate printing, lamination, die-cutting, foiling, embossing, pasting, folding and other process costs.
- Calculate machine -hour and labour costs based on production process.
- Consider wastage, make-ready quantity, setup cost and production loss while preparing costing.
- Prepare costing based on job size, quantity, number of colours and production process.
- Coordinate with sales, production ,purchase and planning teams to obtain accurate costing inputs.
- Compare estimated costing with actual production costs and identify major cost variations.
- Maintain costing records and update raw materials and process rates regularly.
- Maintain confidentiality of costing ,margins and pricing information.
