Job Summary

The US Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting residential mortgage loan applications, including
Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR products
. The role involves assessing borrower eligibility, analyzing risk,



ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines, and making accurate underwriting decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and underwrite Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR mortgage loans.
- Analyze borrower income, assets, credit, employment, and collateral to assess eligibility and risk.
- Evaluate alternative documentation loans including Bank Statement, Asset Depletion, 1099 Income, ITIN, and P&L-only; programs.
- Ensure compliance with agency, investor, company, and regulatory guidelines.
- Issue approvals, conditions, suspensions, or denials based on underwriting standards.
- Review and explicit underwriting conditions and resubmitted documentation.
- Coordinate with loan officers, processors, brokers, and internal teams to support timely loan decisions.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and support quality control and audit processes.
- Stay updated with mortgage products, investor requirements, and regulatory changes.
