Position: Prefabrication Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Prefabrication Engineer to oversee the design validation, structural integration, and off-site manufacturing of high-quality portable houses and modular pods. In this role, you will bridge the gap between architectural concepts and factory floor execution—ensuring structural integrity, transportability, precise assembly, and cost-efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Convert architectural designs into factory-ready prefabrication models, shop drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) optimized for quick assembly.
- Structural & Materials Integration: Oversee the fabrication of light-gauge steel framing, timber frames, sandwich panels, insulation, and modular MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) runs.
- Factory Production Oversight: Direct the cutting, welding, framing, and pre-assembly of modular pods, ensuring tight tolerances and quality control.
- Mobility & Structural Testing: Ensure structural stability for road transport, crane lifting,



and quick in office installation/anchoring.
- Process Optimization: Reduce material waste, streamline assembly cycles, and standardize unit modules across different pod models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with architects, procurement teams, assembly line workers, and on-site deployment crews.

Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Prefabrication Engineering.
- Experience: 3+ years in off-site construction, modular buildings, container conversions, or prefab housing production.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or Tekla).
- Strong knowledge of light-gauge steel (LGS), structural insulated panels (SIPs), and lightweight materials.
- Deep understanding of modular joinery, structural lifting calculations, and road transport constraints.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
