Roles & Responsibilities (R&R;)

1. Cash & Payment Management
- Receive cash, UPI, card and other approved payments from customers.
- Verify every payment before completing the billing process.
- Maintain accurate daily cash balance.
- Ensure cash received matches the system/billing amount.
- Handle refunds and cancellations only with proper approval.

2. Billing Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate customer bills.
- Verify gold/silver weight, rate, making charges, wastage, GST, discount and final amount.
- Cross-check invoice details before handing the bill to the customer.
- Ensure all billing entries are properly recorded in the system.

3. Gold & Jewellery Transaction Control
- Verify jewellery details against the sales invoice.
- Coordinate with the sales and stock teams for product handover.
- Ensure no jewellery is handed over without proper payment confirmation and authorized billing.

4. Daily Cash Closing
- Prepare daily cash closing report.
- Match physical cash with system cash.
- Reconcile UPI/card transactions with payment reports.




- Report any shortage or excess immediately to the Manager/Accounts team.
- Hand over cash safely according to company procedure.

5. Customer Service
- Welcome customers politely when they approach the billing counter.
- Explain the bill and payment details clearly.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and transaction information.
- Handle customer queries professionally and escalate complaints when required.

6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain cash receipt and payment records.
- Maintain refund/cancellation documentation.
- Submit daily cashier reports to Accounts/Manager.
- Maintain proper records of all approved cash movements.

7. Internal Control
- Follow company cash-handling and security procedures.
- Never make unauthorized adjustments to bills.
- Do not keep personal cash mixed with showroom cash.
- Ensure cashier login/password is not shared.
- Report suspicious transactions or discrepancies immediately.
