About the Role

We are looking for an SEO professional with strong understanding of AI Search / Generative Search Optimization (GSO/GEO) to work with our digital marketing agency on an education-sector client.

The client already has a dedicated Local SEO resource, but we are looking for an additional expert who can strengthen the client's organic visibility, AI search presence, and overall digital credibility.

This is a hands-on freelance role, not a full time position.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop an AI Search / GSO strategy for the education brand.
- Improve visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI search platforms.
- Identify questions and search journeys where the brand should appear.
- Conduct semantic and entity-based keyword research.
- Identify content gaps and recommend topics/pages that can improve topical authority.




- Optimize existing content for SEO + AI readability.
- Develop FAQ, Q&A; and informational content structures.
- Recommend schema, internal linking and E-E-A-T improvements.
- Strengthen brand/entity signals through relevant content, mentions and citations.
- Analyse competitors and identify opportunities to improve local and AI visibility.
- Track AI/search visibility and provide actionable monthly recommendations.

What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Strong understanding of Generative SEO / GEO / AI Search Optimization.
- Good understanding of Local SEO and Google Business Profile.
- Experience with semantic SEO, topical authority and entity SEO.
- Ability to understand search intent beyond traditional keywords.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog or similar.
- Understanding of structured data/schema is a strong advantage.
