A QS/Billing Engineer is a key financial and administrative role in construction, responsible for cost estimation, billing, and ensuring projects stay within budget.

**Key Responsibilities**

This role involves managing the financial lifecycle of a project, from initial costing to final account closure.

**Cost Estimation & Budgeting**

Quantity Take-offs & BOQ: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by analyzing drawings and specifications.

Cost Analysis: Perform rate analysis and cost estimation, and prepare project budgets.

**Billing & Payment**

Client Billing: Prepare, check, and submit client bills (including Running Account or RA bills) as per contract conditions.

Subcontractor/Vendor Billing: Verify and certify subcontractor/vendor bills against the work actually executed on site.

Documentation: Maintain records for measurements, RA bills, final bills, and invoices, ensuring timely submission and payment follow-up.

**Cost Control & Reporting**

Cost Monitoring:



Track project expenditure against budgets, prepare cost variance reports, and highlight deviations.

Material Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliation of major materials to track consumption and prevent wastage.

Reporting: Prepare monthly billing summaries, cost reports, and MIS statements.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**

Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Relevant Specializations.

Experience: 5 to 7+ years of experience in construction/infrastructure projects, with preferences for high-rise, commercial, or industrial sectors.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in **MS Excel, AutoCAD**, and billing/ERP software such as SAP and Primavera.

Core Competencies: Robust knowledge of quantity surveying, billing processes, rate analysis, contract terms, and relevant IS codes.
