Job Description: Principal Platform Architect

Role Purpose

Define and engineer the target platform architecture for workflow automation, business rules, policy-as-code,

SOP-as-code and agentic AI solutions.

The role requires a highly hands-on technical architect with robust software engineering fundamentals and

practical expertise in Camunda, Drools and enterprise platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Define scalable, secure and modular platform architectures.
- Design and implement workflows using Camunda BPMN.
- Develop business rules and decision services using Drools and DMN.
- Convert platform policies, controls and SOPs into executable code.
- Design event-driven, API-led and microservices-based solutions.
- Define reusable platform services, engineering standards and design patterns.
- Architect agentic AI solutions with appropriate tools, memory, orchestration and human-in-the-loop

controls.

- Integrate AI agents with workflows, rules, enterprise data and systems of record.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, design reviews and engineering support.
- Build prototypes and reference implementations for critical platform capabilities.
- Ensure observability, auditability, security, performance and resilience.
- Work closely with product, functional, engineering, data,



security and architecture teams.

Required Skills

- Strong software engineering and platform architecture fundamentals.
- Hands-on expertise in Camunda, BPMN, Drools and DMN.
- Experience with Java, APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Understanding of Kafka or similar enterprise event platforms.
- Experience implementing policy-as-code and SOP-as-code.
- Strong knowledge of agentic AI engineering, LLM integration and AI orchestration.
- Understanding of MCP, agent tools, guardrails and human approval patterns.
- Experience with cloud-native engineering, containers and CI/CD.
- Strong knowledge of security, observability and platform governance.

Experience

- 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- Proven experience designing and building enterprise-grade platforms.
- Experience leading workflow, rules-engine or AI-enabled platform implementations.
- Ability to remain hands-on while providing architecture leadership.

Preferred Experience:

A deeply technical and delivery-oriented architect who can translate business policies and operating procedures

into governed, executable platform services and agentic workflows.
