CIVIL SITE ENGINEER PWD / GOVERNMENT PROJECTS

K. Arunagiri & Sons Construction is a Puducherry-based civil contracting firm undertaking PWD and Government construction projects. We are looking for a responsible and technically capable Civil Site Engineer to manage site execution, measurements, billing and project documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and execute day-to-day civil construction works at site.
- Read and understand structural/architectural drawings, BOQ and specifications.
- Coordinate with PWD officials, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and labour.
- Take accurate site measurements and maintain Measurement Book (MB) / measurement records.
- Prepare RA Bills, final bills, quantity statements and abstracts.
- Calculate quantities from drawings and actual site measurements.
- Check BOQ quantities and identify deviations, excess quantities and extra items.
- Prepare and verify subcontractor bills based on actual measurements.
- Maintain DPR, site records, photographs,



material records and work progress reports.
- Monitor quality, materials, manpower and progress of works.
- Assist in rate analysis, estimation and quantity surveying.
- Coordinate material testing, concrete cube tests and other quality documentation.
- Ensure works are executed as per PWD specifications, approved drawings and required quality standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must have practical knowledge of:
- Civil Site Execution
- Measurement & Quantity Calculation
- RA Bill Preparation
- Measurement Book (MB)
- BOQ & Quantity Surveying
- PWD/Government Contract Procedures
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- Basic Estimation & Rate Analysis
- Reading Civil/Structural Drawings

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Civil Engineering

Experience: 2–5 years preferred.

Experience in Government projects or civil contracting companies will be an added advantage.
