Job Summary

The Service Asset Configuration Management (SACM) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the organization''s IT asset and configuration information. This role plays a critical part in supporting IT service delivery, incident management, problem management, change management, and overall IT goverce. The Specialist will manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), track the lifecycle of IT assets, and enforce SACM policies and procedures to ensure a reliable and up-to-date repository of IT infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities
- CMDB Data Foundation Management
- Administer and continuously improve the ServiceNow CMDB as the authoritative source of configuration and service data.
- Design, implement, and maintain Configuration Item (CI) classes, identification rules, reconciliation rules, and relationship models.
- Align CMDB structure and processes with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.
- Establish and maintain logical and service-based relationships across business applications, services,



infrastructure, cloud resources, and technology assets.
- Monitor and improve CMDB health metrics, including completeness, correctness, compliance, and relationship integrity.
- Conduct regular audits and data quality assessments to identify and remediate configuration data issues.
- Discovery, Service Mapping Automation
- Configure, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities.
- Ensure automated population and maintece of CI records through discovery, integrations, and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and maintain service maps to support incident management, problem management, change management, risk analysis, and operational visibility.
