Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

· Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA/TNI) across departments and prepare the Annual Training Calendar.

· Design and implement technical, behavioural, functional and leadership development programmes.

· Develop competency-based training programmes for SMS, Rolling Mill, Blast Furnace/DRI, Sinter, RMHS, CPP, Quality, Maintenance and Utilities.

· Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback and workplace application.

Competency & Skill Development

· Develop and maintain Skill Matrix / Competency Matrix for employees.

· Identify critical skills and prepare Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

· Implement multi-skilling, cross-functional training and certification programmes.

· Build structured career and capability-development pathways.

TPM / Kaizen / Six Sigma

· Drive L&D; interventions supporting TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Quality Circle and continuous improvement.

· Develop internal trainers and departmental Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).





· Promote problem-solving and continuous-improvement culture through learning interventions.
Leadership Development

· Design development programmes for Supervisors, Engineers, Managers and HODs.

· Support competency-based leadership development, coaching, mentoring and succession planning.

· Identify high-potential employees and support talent development initiatives.

Induction, OJT & Trainee Development

· Manage structured induction and development programmes for GETs, DETs, apprentices and trainees.

· Develop OJT modules, training checklists and assessment mechanisms.

· Ensure timely completion and documentation of trainee development plans.

L&D; Systems, MIS & Digital Learning

· Develop training modules, SOP-based learning material and e-learning content.

· Manage LMS / digital learning initiatives where applicable.

· Prepare monthly L&D; dashboards, MIS, training analytics and management reports.

Monitor training budget, utilization and effectivene
