Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Biology and Science lessons for Classes VI–VIII in line with the school's ICSE curriculum.
- Develop students' understanding of biological concepts through inquiry-based and experiential learning.
- Conduct practical activities, experiments, demonstrations and laboratory sessions safely and effectively.
- Use models, specimens, visual aids, technology and other teaching resources to enhance learning.
- Encourage students to observe, question, investigate, analyse and draw scientific conclusions.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, assessments and revision materials.
- Assess student learning through classwork, tests, projects, practical activities and other appropriate methods.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students who require additional academic assistance while also encouraging high-performing students.
- Promote environmental awareness, healthy living and appreciation of biodiversity.




- Collaborate with other Science teachers and contribute to interdisciplinary learning activities.
- Participate in school events, field trips, science exhibitions, clubs and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain appropriate laboratory discipline and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and development.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences or a related subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred/required as applicable.
- Solid knowledge of the ICSE/CISCE curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Experience
- 3–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school.
- Previous experience teaching ICSE students is preferred.
- Experience teaching Biology/Science at the middle-school level.
