The role: Own reliability for a production fintech platform: backup and restore, disaster recovery, monitoring, and incident response. When something breaks at 2 a.m., you're the person who designed the system so it recovers itself.
You will:
- Design and test backup/restore and disaster-recovery runbooks
- Build monitoring, alerting, and incident-response workflows
- Run post-incident reviews and drive fixes to closure
- Cross-train with our Cloud Engineer for mutual coverage
You have:
- Linux fundamentals; familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus or similar)
- Understanding of databases well enough to back them up and restore them correctly
- Calm under pressure; a documentation habit
