Key responsibilities:
- Develop current applications/programs and modify existing AS400 applications.
- Work mainly with RPG IV/ILE, Free RPG, CL/CLLE and DB2.
- Perform SQL development, testing, debugging and code reviews.
- Handle production tickets, application issues and bug fixing.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Support business users and understand their functional requirements.
- Maintain technical/user documentation.
- Participate in release management and Agile/Scrum activities.
- Suggest application improvements and work toward reducing application maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business users and external parties.
