Engineer- Renewal Energy (RPG Projects) Gandhidham Kutch Gujarat - The Leading Solar Magazine In India

Candidate will be responsible to develop and evaluate renewable (Wind/Solar) energy related projects, manage company's existing portfolio of renewable energy projects installed at various sites and strive to improve energy efficiency and increase power generation from these projects.

Responsibilities

- Manage company's existing portfolio of Renewable Power (Wind and Solar) to ensure maximum generation is achieved from all sites and consequently results in better revenues for the company.
- Keep a close watch on performance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and solar panels installed at various sites and analyse Daily Reports received from these sites.
- Ensure minimum breakdown days and follow-up on earliest possible restoration of the WTGs or Solar machines in case of any breakdown or shutdown.
- Monitor Generation of each machine and compare it with previous years data and assured generation of the machines to identify any significant drop in generation.
- Visit the sites of WTGs/Solar Machines in case of any breakdowns or any other issues and take detailed report and follow-up.
- Play a key role in current and upcoming projects of the company in renewable power generation by giving valuable inputs on site selection, location selection, analysing the wind mast data, Micro-setting drawings, etc.
- Conduct jobsite observations, field inspections, or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyses.
- Should have complete knowledge of latest models/ technologies being used in Wind and Solar energy in the market.
- Prepare project reports and other program or technical documentation.
- Conduct research or collect data on renewable or alternative energy systems or technologies such as solar thermal and photovoltaic energy.
- Review or negotiate OM agreements, power purchase agreements, etc.




- Follow-up with State Electricity companies or Private clients for payments related to renewable power sale.
- He should have a complete knowledge of the working of the Wind Turbine Generators or Solar Plants along with the detailed idea about the major factors which directly impacts the generations of such plants.
- He should be updated with the latest models/ technologies of Wind Turbine Generators and Solar Generations Plants available in the market.
- He would be responsible for managing the complete portfolio of our Renewable Energy plants consisting of wind and solar at various sites.
- Evaluating the daily monthly generation reports.
- Increase the generations of individual plants by reducing the breakdown periods of plants.
- Responsible for periodic technical audit of all the plants along with his recommendations on how to improve the energy efficiency of all the plants.
- He should be able to recognise emerging problems and pro-actively develop solutions.
- Managing the monthly billings of all the machines along with the collections from the parties.
- Responsible for checking the Invoices of O M Service provider with the O M Agreements.
- Preparations of annual claims as per O M Agreements.
- Preparations of MIS Reports as required.
- Checking site and ground conditions of all the proposed locations before the finalization of locations for Wind Turbine Generators Solar Plants.
- Liaising and negotiating with O M Service Providers and other relevant organisations.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, organizational and negotiation skills, commercial awareness and an understanding of business.




- The candidate is expected to increase the generation of existing Wind and Solar Plants by at least 5 percent year on year in comparison to the past generation data provided by the management.
- The candidate is also expected to maintain the machine availability of at least 98% for each of the machines.
- He should thrive to increase the PLF of the WTGs by at least 2 percent year on year.
- He must have a sound knowledge regarding the reasons of breakdowns and the precautionary steps which should be taken to avoid such breakdowns in future.
- He would be responsible for restoring the machines within the minimum breakdown period.
- He has to analyze the conditions of the plants periodically by personally visiting the site locations providing his recommendations on improving the life of the plants and implement the recommendations given.
- He would also report on whether the O M Service provider is maintaining the machine or plants with at most care.
- He would be responsible to convince the O M Service provider for maintaining the stock of spares during the high wind period to avoid generation loss due to delay in restoring the machines from breakdowns at that time.

Qualifications
- UG: B.Tech/B.E. - Electrical, Mechanical
- PG: M.Tech - Electrical, Mechanical
- Doctorate: Not Required
- Candidate must be Graduate/ Post Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
