DESCRIPTION:
We have a curated dataset of formulations covering API, excipient list, dosage form, and route of administration. We are looking for a formulation scientist to annotate the excipients in these formulations with their functional roles, so the data can be used to train our models.
This is a short-term, paid contract engagement covering 30 - 50 formulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accurately assign a functional role to each excipient in a formulation, drawn from the full range of established functional categories (Eg: binder, diluent, disintegrant, glidant, plasticiser, buffering agent, cryoprotectant, and others)
2. Resolve cases where an excipient can serve more than one role, selecting the role most relevant to that dosage form and route, with a one-line rationale
3.
Follow a shared annotation format and join follow-up meetings with our team to settle unclear cases.
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS:
1. Contract basis, remote
2. Scope: 30 - 50 formulations
3. Compensation: Flat fee (based on experience)
4. Timeline: at the earliest
There is scope for continued engagement on future work across formulations and generics, depending on fit.
