The Relationship Manager MEL (Micro Enterprise Loans) is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing micro-enterprise loan customers while ensuring portfolio quality, customer satisfaction, and adherence to credit and compliance norms.

Key Responsibilities

Source new Micro Enterprise Loan (MEL) customers through field activities, referrals, and local market mapping

Build and maintain strong relationships with micro-enterprise customers to drive repeat business

Conduct customer profiling, KYC collection, and preliminary credit assessment

Ensure proper documentation, verification, and timely submission of loan files

Coordinate with credit, operations, and legal teams for smooth loan processing and disbursement

Achieve assigned business targets (disbursement, customer acquisition, portfolio growth)

Monitor post-disbursement activities and support collections to maintain portfolio quality





Handle customer queries and provide end-to-end service support

Ensure compliance with internal policies, RBI guidelines, and regulatory norms

Maintain accurate MIS and timely reporting to branch / area management

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong field sales and relationship management skills

Basic understanding of Micro Enterprise Lending / SME Lending

Valuable communication and local market knowledge

Ability to assess customer cash flows and business viability

Result-oriented with strong follow-up skills

Comfortable with field work and targets

Educational Qualification

Graduate in any discipline (Commerce / Management preferred)

Experience

1–5 years of experience in MEL / MSME / Business Loans.

Prior experience in NBFC / MFI / Bank preferred
