We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Apache Solr and strong backend development expertise. The ideal candidate should have experience in building scalable search solutions and working with graph databases or semantic web technologies like Neo4j and Sesame/RDF4j. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing search and data-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java
- Implement and manage search solutions using Apache Solr
- Optimize search performance, indexing, and query handling
- Work with large datasets and ensure productive data retrieval
- Integrate Solr with enterprise applications and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement analysis and delivery
- Implement data models using graph databases such as Neo4j
- Work with semantic data frameworks like Sesame/RDF4j for RDF data processing
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance
- Follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java (Core Java, Java 8+)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Solr
- Experience in RESTful API development
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Neo4j (Graph Database)
- Knowledge of Sesame / RDF4j (RDF frameworks)
- Understanding of semantic web technologies (RDF, SPARQL)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
