Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and validate 1D acoustic and gas agile models using Ricardo WAVE.
- Perform simulation of exhaust, aftertreatment, muffler, silencer, and resonator systems.
- Predict and optimize Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Transmission Loss (TL), Insertion Loss (IL), pressure pulsations, and exhaust backpressure.
- Conduct model calibration, validation, solver setup, debugging, and correlation with test data.
- Work with Design, CFD, Testing, and NVH teams to achieve vehicle performance targets.
- Optimize muffler and resonator geometry to meet acoustic and flow requirements.
- Generate simulation reports and provide engineering recommendations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3-8 years of experience in Ricardo WAVE / GT-SUITE 1D simulation.
- Experience in automotive exhaust and aftertreatment systems.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and gas dynamics.
- Experience in SPL, TL, IL, backpressure, and pressure pulsation analysis.
- Hands-on experience in model validation and calibration using test data.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers preferred.
