LIVE Eye News Service Pvt. Ltd. (LENS) is looking for Varification Editor to join our growing team in Lucknow.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying news footage and story submissions received from LENS reporters, correspondents and stringers.

Department: Editorial Operations / News Verification
Location: Lucknow (Head Office)
Salary: Depending on experience and suitability

Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify video footage submitted by LENS reporters, correspondents and stringers.
- Verify the authenticity, accuracy, relevance and source of submitted footage and stories.
- Examine reporter-provided metadata, descriptions, timestamps and source information.
- Give immediate priority to submissions marked as Breaking News.
- Coordinate with the editorial desk to ensure verified breaking footage moves quickly into the packaging and publishing pipeline.
- Identify potentially misleading, manipulated, incorrectly sourced or inadequately documented content.




- Review the credibility and previous record of reporters and stringers while assessing submissions.
- Check source credentials and supporting information wherever required.
- Escalate high-risk, sensitive or doubtful stories to the Senior Verification Editor / Chief News Editor.
- Flag suspicious activity, repeated violations or credibility concerns for management review.
- Escalate legally or editorially sensitive material to senior management.
- Use digital verification tools and techniques to authenticate news content.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, speed and editorial integrity, especially during breaking-news situations.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies or a related discipline.
- Candidates with strong skilled experience in journalism, fact-checking, verification or newsroom operations may also be considered.
