About LEAP: LEAP provides industry-oriented Product Driven Learning (PDL) to STEM institutes by focussed programs from 1 to final year of BTech/BSc/MSc. LEAP is founded and run by IIT professors and industry veterans. *Self-raising iron1st BTech NIE Mysuru* In 1 year, LEAP students work in teams to improve existing products. In 2 year, students design and build a working prototype to solve a problem of society. These are typically robotic devices for agriculture, healthcare, home/office automation, etc. In the 3 and 4 years, students acquire industry-oriented skills in depth through mini-projects, internships and major projects. In all LEAP programs, students are guided by their college faculty plus LEAP experts and trainers.
Job description The job provides opportunities to train faculty, lab staff and undergraduate students in LEAP product-driven learning. Helps establish a network with colleges and industry. Responsibilities include:
- Running LEAP programmes in colleges, including planning, managing the delivery team, tracking student activities
- Development and delivery of programme content, guiding student teams in product development
- Marketing LEAP programmes to colleges
- Liasioning with industry
Qualifications and experience
- MTech/ME or equivalent 6+ years relevant experience (academia and/or industry) Teaching at college level, or guiding engineering students in projects
- Valuable written and verbal communications and inter-personal skills
