Role & responsibilities

1. Material Inward & Receiving

- Receive and verify incoming raw materials, components, packing materials, consumables, and other items.
- Check quantity against Purchase Order, Invoice, Delivery Challan, and material documents.
- Coordinate with the Quality Team for incoming material inspection wherever required.
- Prepare and maintain GRN / Material Receipt records.
- Report shortages, excess quantities, damages, or incorrect materials to the Purchase/Management team.

2. Raw Material & Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate stock records for:
- Plastic raw materials / sheets
- Masterbatch and additives
- Packaging materials
- Reels and components
- ESD materials
- Consumables
- Tools and maintenance items
- Other production-related materials

- Maintain proper bin-wise and item-wise stock records.
- Ensure correct identification, labeling, and storage of all materials.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Inform Purchase/Management about materials approaching minimum stock levels.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.

3. Material Issue to Production

- Issue materials to production strictly against authorized Material Requisition / Production Requirement.
- Maintain accurate records of material issued to each production line/machine.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors regarding daily material requirements.
- Ensure proper FIFO practices wherever applicable.
- Track material consumption and report unusual consumption or shortages.

4. Finished Goods Management

- Receive finished goods from Production after required Quality approval.




- Maintain finished goods stock records.
- Properly label and store finished products.
- Coordinate with Dispatch for customer orders.
- Ensure correct quantity and product identification before dispatch.
- Maintain dispatch-related documentation.

5. Packing Material Management

- Maintain stock of cartons, covers, tapes, labels, pallets, stretch film, straps, and other packing materials.
- Ensure packing materials are available as per production and dispatch requirements.
- Monitor consumption and raise requirements in advance.

6. Stock Verification & Reconciliation

- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly physical stock verification as required.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP/system records.
- Immediately report any stock mismatch to management.
- Maintain proper records of stock adjustments with authorization.
- Support periodic internal stock audits.

7. Documentation & ERP

Maintain accurate records for:

- Purchase Inward
- GRN / Material Receipt
- Material Issue
- Stock Transfer
- Return to Vendor
- Material Return from Production
- Finished Goods Receipt
- Dispatch
- Gate Pass
- Delivery Challan
- Scrap / Rejection
- Stock Adjustment
- Update inventory transactions in the ERP / inventory system on time.




- Maintain proper physical and digital documentation.

8. Store Organization & 5S

- Maintain the store in a clean, organized, and systematic condition.
- Follow 5S principles in the warehouse.
- Ensure proper bin identification and material location marking.
- Ensure materials are stored safely to prevent damage, contamination, or deterioration.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards.

9. Team Supervision

- Supervise Store Helpers / Packers / Loaders.
- Allocate daily work and monitor their activities.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, material movement, and housekeeping.
- Train team members on proper material handling and store procedures.

10. Coordination With Other Departments

Coordinate closely with:

- Purchase Material planning and replenishment
- Production Daily material requirements and consumption
- Quality Incoming inspection, rejection, and approved/rejected materials
- Accounts – Invoice, GRN, and purchase documentation
- Dispatch – Finished goods and customer shipments
- Management – Stock status, shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / ITI / Any Graduate preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in Stores / Warehouse / Inventory Management.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be preferred.
- Experience in Plastic / Electronics / Packaging / Engineering manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP / Inventory Management Software preferred.
