The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing transparent, quality code to develop the best software. You will test your code, identify errors, and iterate to ensure quality code. You will also support our customers and partners by troubleshooting any of their software issues.

Title: SAP MDG Technical Consultant

Location: India

Duration: 12+months(Contract)

Description

Design and implement MDG Customer technical components: data model (extension), UI (FPM/Fiori), change request types, workflow enhancements, and duplicate checks (HANA search/TREX). Develop validations & derivations using BRF+, BAdIs, and enhancement spots; implement error handling and messaging standards.

Configure and extend Data Replication Framework (DRF), key mapping/value mapping, and integration via IDoc/ALE, SOAP/REST APIs, OData services; collaborate with PI/PO/CPI/BTP teams. Build custom objects with ABAP (classes, BAdIs, function modules), OData services, and relevant MDG APIs (BP API, CVI touchpoints).

Optimize performance (HANA SQL, indexing,



buffering), ensure robustness, and follow secure coding guidelines. Manage transports (CTS+/gCTS), version control, and DevOps pipelines; contribute to unit tests, SIT/UAT support, and defect triage.

Produce technical specifications, interface catalogs, solution blueprints, and deployment/runbooks; support cutover and hypercare.
- Troubleshoot replication/workflow/UI issues across MDG, S/4HANA/ECC, CRM and downstreams; work with Basis/Security on roles & authorizations. Support data migration (load frameworks, validation, enrichment exits) and data quality enablement where required (DQ rules/services).
