Job Summary

Position Overview. The Inbound Shift In-charge is responsible for leading all inbound operations within the assigned Service Centre, ensuring timely receipt, unloading, scanning, sorting, reconciliation and processing of shipments while meeting Blue Dart's service commitments and operational standards. The role provides frontline leadership to Ops Staff, Senior Ops Staff, Territory Service Representatives (TSRs) and Senior Territory Service Representatives (Senior TSRs) deployed during the shift, ensuring optimum manpower utilization, operational discipline, shipment accuracy, productivity, safety and compliance. The incumbent plays a key role in ensuring smooth shift operations, maintaining operational governance and supporting seamless connectivity across Blue Darts network.

Job Purpose.



To lead and manage inbound shift operations by ensuring timely and accurate receipt, processing and reconciliation of shipments, while driving operational productivity, service quality, workforce effectiveness, safety, compliance and adherence to Blue Darts Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Inbound Operations Management. Lead and supervise all inbound operational activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure timely receipt, unloading and processing of inbound vehicles and shipments.
- Monitor shipment receiving, scanning, reconciliation, segregation and sorting activities.
- Ensure timely movement of shipments to subsequent operational stages in line with defined service commitments.
- Coordinate with outbound operations and network teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
