we are looking for a Platform Engineer to work as part of our Engineering team. In this role you will focus on the performance, tuning and resilience of our large-scale, distributed video delivery platform – getting the most out of the underlying server, storage, network, OS/kernel, virtualisation and cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliable, high-performance delivery of content to end-users worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in working on various technologies as server, storage, network, IOPS, OS, Kernel, VM and cloud architecture.
- Strong experience in tuning the platform to effectively utilize the system resources thereby improving the application’s performance.
- Robust knowledge in fine tuning the network & kernel parameters for high performance.
- Experience on Ceph and Cassandra.
- Strong experience in Python, Ansible development.
- Good knowledge in network and kernel stack in Linux based systems.
- Strong experience on AWS cloud, Virtualization, open stack, Linux KVM, VMware.
- Strong experience on containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent Communication Skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts to others clearly.
- Candidate should have good listening skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional Team
