Job Title: FibroScan Technician

Department: Diagnostic Services

Job Summary

The FibroScan Technician will be responsible for performing non-invasive liver stiffness and controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) assessments using the FibroScan device. The role involves operating the equipment, maintaining accurate patient records, assisting physicians in diagnostic procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Preparation & Support

Educate patients on the FibroScan procedure, purpose, and preparation requirements.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during the assessment.

Equipment Operation

Operate FibroScan devices accurately to measure liver stiffness and CAP values.

Calibrate and maintain the device according to manufacturer guidelines.

Data Management & Reporting

Record and manage patient data accurately.

Generate test reports for physician review.

Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA or relevant regulations.

Coordination & Support





Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff for scheduling and result discussions.

Provide basic interpretation support based on device readings, where permitted.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.

Assist in periodic audits and equipment maintenance checks.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bio Medical,Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiology, Nursing, or related field.

People with any medical background

Skills:

Good communication and patient-handling skills.

Solid attention to detail and data accuracy.

Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues with the device.

Basic knowledge of liver health and diagnostic procedures

( Extensive training will be given to the selected candidate)

Work Environment

Clinical or hospital setting.

Regular interaction with patients, physicians, and nursing staff.
