About the Opportunity:

Hirely
is recruiting on behalf of one of our hiring partners for a
remote ML Engineer opportunity
supporting a Frontier Code Agents project with a leading AI research lab.

You'll help evaluate and improve frontier AI coding models by working on realistic
machine learning engineering workflows, AI systems, and model-generated implementations
. This is a robust opportunity for experienced ML Engineers who want to apply their production engineering expertise to cutting-edge AI model evaluation.

What You'll Do:
- Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and evaluate complex ML and AI engineering tasks.
- Review model-generated implementations involving model training, inference systems, MLOps, and LLM applications.
- Identify bugs, edge cases, performance issues, and technical failure modes.




- Compare outputs from multiple frontier AI models and assess their strengths and weaknesses.
- Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic machine learning engineering scenarios.

Who We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of professional machine learning engineering experience.
- Experience building production ML systems, model deployment infrastructure, LLM applications, or AI-powered products.
- Regular experience using AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
- Ability to evaluate model-generated ML implementations and understand technical trade-offs.
- Experience deploying ML systems to production is preferred.

Compensation & Engagement:
- $85/hour OR $400 per accepted task
- Typical tasks take approximately 2-3 hours after ramp-up.
