Role Purpose : The SEO Specialist will own end-to-end on-page and off-page SEO for the company's digital properties, including emerging disciplines such as Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), to grow organic visibility across traditional search and AI-driven answer platforms (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.). The role also involves writing and overseeing SEO-compatible copy for website pages, blogs, and creative assets so that content performs for both search rankings and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Page SEO Management
- Conduct on-page audits (meta tags, headers, URL structure, internal linking, image alt text)
- Optimise website pages, blogs, and landing pages for target keywords and search intent
- Implement structured data/schema markup to support rich results and AI-answer eligibility
- Monitor Core Web Vitals and technical SEO health, coordinating fixes with the development team

2. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Develop and execute link-building strategies (guest posts, digital PR,



partnerships, directories)
- Build domain authority through quality backlink acquisition and outreach
- Manage local SEO listings (Google Business Profile) and citation consistency
- Monitor and disavow toxic/spammy backlinks

3. AEO & GEO Optimisation
- Structure content (FAQs, direct concise answers, structured data) to improve visibility in featured snippets and AI Overviews
- Optimise brand and content visibility within generative AI search tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode) through authoritative, well-structured, citation-worthy content
- Track brand mentions/citations within AI-generated answers and benchmark against competitors
- Stay current on evolving AEO/GEO best practices and platform changes

4. SEO Content & Copywriting
- Write and/or edit SEO-optimised copy for website pages, blogs, landing pages, and product descriptions
- Balance keyword optimisation with reada
