Role Overview

We are looking for an L2 Application Support Engineer to support business-critical applications in a production environment. The role involves incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, monitoring, and application support with moderate Java coding exposure. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with development teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for production applications and resolve incidents within SLA.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and system-related issues.
- Analyze logs, identify patterns, perform root cause analysis, and recommend fixes.
- Support application releases, deployments, and operational activities.
- Develop straightforward enhancements, automation scripts, and bug fixes where required.
- Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Business teams.




- Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge articles.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and Computer Science fundamentals.
- Experience in problem-solving within development or production support environments.
- Working knowledge of Java (moderate coding proficiency).
- Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle, DB2, Sybase, or similar RDBMS.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting using Shell, Python, JavaScript, or Perl.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Financial Services / Investment Banking domain.
- Exposure to ITIL Incident and Problem Management processes.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, and cloud environments.
- Experience with monitoring and support tools.
