Data Analyst — Contractor (6-8 months contract)

Uride is hiring a contract data analyst to build and own core pieces of our Snowflake data platform. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Ops to turn raw operational data into reliable, decision-ready datasets.

Pay is CAD 2000 per month

What you'll do
- Build and maintain pipelines replicating Postgres data into Snowflake on an ongoing, reliable basis
- Design foundational Snowflake schemas from scratch, balancing performance and flexibility for future growth
- Build multi-stage dbt transformation layers (raw → cleaned → curated) serving different formats and downstream consumers
- Integrate third-party data sources using Stitch, evaluating and onboarding new connectors as needed
- Write complex, optimized SQL for both ad hoc and recurring analysis
- Monitor data quality and pipeline health; troubleshoot ingestion or transformation failures
- Partner with Product, Ops,



and Engineering to define reporting requirements and KPIs
- Maintain documentation of schemas, transformations, and data lineage

Must-haves
- 5+ years as a Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer
- Deep Snowflake expertise (modeling, performance tuning, schema design)
- Proven experience building Postgres → Snowflake ingestion pipelines
- Experience with ingestion tools (Stitch, Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar)
- Expert-level SQL
- Hands-on dbt experience
- Strong grasp of dimensional modeling/star schemas
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving startup workplace

Nice to have
- Node.js/cron for custom job scheduling
- Metabase or similar BI tool experience
- Experience with mobility, marketplace, or transactional platforms
- Basic Python for scripting/automation
