We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer with relevant experience in the garment export industry to support our design team in developing new styles and collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the senior designer in developing new styles and collections.
- Prepare design sheets, sketches, colour combinations and artwork.
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, prints, colours and silhouettes.
- Assist in sample development and coordinate with sampling and production teams.
- Prepare and maintain tech packs, specifications and design-related documents.
- Coordinate with merchandising and production teams for design execution.
- Follow up on samples and make necessary design amendments.
- Maintain design files, fabric/trim details and collection records.
- Ensure designs meet buyer requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a garment/fashion export company.
- Only candidates with export company experience should apply.
- This position is not for freshers.
- Graduate/Diploma in Fashion Designing or a related field.
- Good knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, colours and garment construction.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred.
- Strong creative skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced export setting.
Note: Candidates with less than 3 years of experience or without relevant export company experience will not be considered.
