1.JOB PURPOSE:

The main purpose of the job to support maintenance activities for machinery, equipment and utilities in the rusk and cake manufacturing plant. The role ensures smooth production operations, minimizes downtime and supports food safety and quality standards.

2.CORE JOB AREA JOB REPOSIBILITIES

Equipment Maintenance

-Perform routine maintenance and repair of production machinery (mixers, ovens, conveyors, packing machines, slicers, cooling systems etc.)

-Monitor equipment performance and promptly attend to breakdowns.

-Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines.

Preventive Maintenance

-Follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.

-Conduct inspections, lubrication, adjustments and replacement of worn-out parts.

-Record and report maintenance activities.

Utilities and Support

-Support maintenance of utilities such as boilers, compressors, chillers and electrical systems.

-Ensure continuous supply of electricity, water and compressed air to production lines.





Compliance and Safety

-Follow GMP (Valuable Manufacturing Practices), Food safety and ISO standards in all maintenance work.

-Adhere to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment and electrical systems.

-Support audits and compliance checks related to maintenance and safety.

3.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical

-1-3-year experience in maintenance.

4.SKILLS / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

-Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and basic instrumentation systems.

-Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

-Awareness of food industry safety and hygiene practices
