About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented New Business Development (NBD) Manager to drive business growth in the General Insurance vertical. The ideal candidate should possess robust corporate networking skills, a proven track record in acquiring new clients, and sound knowledge of commercial and retail general insurance products. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and achieving revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives. These responsibilities align with common expectations for business development roles in insurance broking.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new corporate, SME, and retail clients for General Insurance products.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve premium and revenue targets.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, client visits, and industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, channel partners, and insurance companies.
- Understand clients' risk profiles and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations in coordination with insurers and internal teams.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close business opportunities.
- Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams for seamless policy issuance and servicing.
- Ensure timely renewal of policies while identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and CRM records.
- Conduct regular market research to identify emerging business opportunities and competitor activities.
