We are looking for an experienced Junior Accountant to join our fast-growing hospitality startup based at our office in Mumbai. You will take full ownership of project-based vendor payments, capital expenditure tracking, and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic startup workplace, possesses strong attention to detail, and has hands-on experience managing end-to-end project financial lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

Project Payment Management
- Process and manage end-to-end project payments for vendors, contractors, and interior/fit-out suppliers for current site launches.
- Verify project invoices, purchase orders, and delivery challans against signed contracts before releasing funds.
- Track project-wise budgets, flag cost overruns, and maintain an updated tracker of committed vs. actual spends.
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams in Mumbai to resolve billing discrepancies quickly.

General Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, bank receipts,



and expense vouchers into the accounting software.
- Perform regular bank and vendor reconciliations.
- Maintain petty cash and handle routine office financial administration.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist with basic statutory compliance (such as GST and TDS filings) and audit preparations.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / BAF / BMS in Finance).
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, with specific exposure to handling project accounting, vendor payments, and accounts payable.
- Location: Must be based in or able to commute daily to the office in Mumbai.
- Industry Preference: Prior experience in hospitality, retail, or real estate/construction project accounting is a strong plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software, paired with
