Solar Site Engineer Lead

Job Summary:

The Solar Site Engineer Lead is responsible for leading and supervising in office engineering and construction activities for solar PV projects. The role involves coordinating civil, structural, electrical, and installation activities, managing contractors and site teams, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and delivering the project safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day site execution for utility-scale, rooftop, or commercial solar PV projects.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate installation of
solar modules, mounting structures, DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, LT/HT systems, earthing, and other BOS components
.
- Review layouts, structural drawings, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate civil works including foundations, piling,



roads, drainage, equipment foundations, and module mounting structures.
- Monitor module and structure installation, alignment, torqueing, cable routing, and equipment installation.
- Coordinate electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure proper quality control and documentation.
- Manage daily work allocation and track manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
- Identify technical issues, site constraints, and deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor project progress against planned targets and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Verify measurements and support contractor billing and quantity reconciliation.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of solar modules and electrical equipment.
- Support pre-commissioning, testing, synchronization, performance testing, and project handover
