Role & responsibilities
- To evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- To treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- To provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
- To work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
- To suggest stimulation exercises to parents to continue activities at home
- To suggest making low cost and indigenous training materials practical for the therapy
- To take classes and provide training to other health care professionals as required
- To involve parents and family in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of patients
- To conduct parental workshops and forums
- To develop educational materials on speech and language
- To involve in monitoring speech therapy services in LVPEIs network
