About the Role

We are a rapid-growing digital lending platform disbursing micro-loans (instant, app-based, ~10-minute TAT) to retail/underserved borrowers. We're looking for a VP to own the entire loan lifecycle end-to-end — from lead/application to disbursal, servicing, collections, NPA management, and regulatory compliance. This is a business-critical, P&L-linked; leadership role reporting directly to the Founder/CEO.

Role Summary

The VP – Lending Operations will act as the process owner and single point of accountability (A to Z) for the loan business — ensuring fast, compliant disbursals, healthy portfolio quality, strong collections, and audit-ready compliance, while building scalable systems, teams, and vendor/partner relationships (NBFC/co-lending partners, collection agencies, credit bureaus, payment gateways).

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Loan Lifecycle Ownership

Own the full funnel: lead generation → app onboarding → KYC → credit underwriting/scoring → disbursal (10-min TAT) → repayment → collections → closure/write-off.

Continuously improve TAT,



drop-off rates, and disbursal accuracy without compromising risk.

2. Credit Risk & Underwriting Oversight

Monitor credit policy, risk scorecards/rules engine performance, bureau checks (CIBIL/Experian/CRIF), and fraud detection.

Track portfolio quality — GNPA/NNPA, vintage delinquency (DPD buckets), bounce rates — and recommend policy tightening/loosening.

3. Collections & Recovery Management

Build and manage in-house + outsourced collections (tele-calling, field, digital nudges, legal/recovery agents).

Own collection efficiency, roll-rate reduction, bucket-wise (0-30/30-60/60-90/90+) recovery targets, and settlement/write-off policy.

Manage relationships with collection agencies and legal/recovery partners.

4. Compliance, Legal & Regulatory

Ensure full compliance with RBI digital lending guidelines, Fair Practices Code, data privacy (DPDP Act), KYC/AML norms.
