Fabric Follow-Up – Job Description

Job Title: Fabric Follow-Up Executive / Officer
Department: Fabric
Reporting To: Fabric Manager

Job Purpose

To monitor and follow up the fabric requirement, ordering, production, processing, inspection and delivery to ensure fabric is available on time for production.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow up daily on fabric requirements against production plans and orders.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, Dyeing, Processing, Suppliers, and Merchandising teams.
- Track fabric orders from booking to final delivery.
- Monitor fabric production, dyeing, finishing, inspection, and dispatch status.
- Maintain fabric order and delivery tracking reports.
- Identify delays, shortages, quality issues, and other fabric-related problems.
- Escalate critical delays to the concerned manager and take corrective action.
- Ensure required fabric quantity is available as per production schedule.
- Follow up on pending fabric, shortage, rejection, and replacement quantities.
- Coordinate with the warehouse/stores team for fabric receipt and verification.




- Check fabric delivery against PO, order quantity, shade, quality, and required date.
- Maintain daily/weekly fabric status reports.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for fabric inspection and approval.
- Ensure proper documentation of fabric inward, pending, rejected, and balance quantities.
- Support production planning by providing accurate fabric availability updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Textile, Garment, Production, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in fabric follow-up, textile, garment, or PPC.
- Good knowledge of fabric types, dyeing, finishing, and inspection processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Robust follow-up and problem-solving ability.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
