Job Description – TGT IT Teacher

School: Rainbow International School Thane
Position: TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) – Information Technology
Grades: IX & X
Working Hours: 7:10 AM – 2:30 PM

Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. in Information Technology / Computer Science, or MCA
- B.Ed. preferred (mandatory as per CBSE/board norms, if applicable)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver IT/Computer Science lessons for Grades 9 and 10 as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE or relevant board)
- Design lesson plans, practical sessions, and assessments aligned with board guidelines
- Conduct regular class tests, unit tests, and practical exams; evaluate and maintain student records
- Guide students on programming fundamentals, database concepts, networking basics, and other IT syllabus topics
- Prepare students for board examinations, including practical and viva components
- Maintain computer lab discipline, ensure proper use of hardware/software, and coordinate with lab assistants




- Stay updated with curriculum changes and integrate new teaching tools/technology in classes
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events
- Mentor and support students with extra classes/remedial sessions as needed
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance, and academic records as per school policy

Skills Required
- Robust command over IT/Computer Science subject as per Grade 9–10 syllabus
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python/Java, as per curriculum), databases, and basic web technologies
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools/smart classes
- Patience and ability to explain technical concepts in a simple manner

Other Requirements
- Prior teaching experience in a CBSE/similar board school preferred
- Willingness to work within specified school hours (7:10 AM – 2:30 PM)

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
