Job Title: Team Lead - Financial Crime Compliance

Were looking for a seasoned Transaction Monitoring skilled with over 8 years of experience to join the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) function within a leading global payments organisation.

The role will focus on the effective assessment, investigation, and mitigation of risks associated with high-risk customers, while ensuring strong adherence to AML/CFT regulations, internal policies, and the organisations risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for L2 Transaction Monitoring and complex AML/FCC investigations, ensuring timely and high-quality case resolution.
- Review and oversee high-risk and complex TM alerts, ensuring appropriate investigation, escalation, and disposition in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive SAR/STR investigations and narrative quality, ensuring cases are well-documented, accurate, and supported by sound investigative rationale.
- Act as a key point of contact for global stakeholders,



providing clear updates, handling escalations, and ensuring effective communication across regions.
- Monitor team performance, quality, productivity, and SLA adherence while identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to AML/FCC policies, procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements across transaction monitoring activities
- Partner with QA, Compliance, and other FCC teams to address recurring issues, improve investigation quality, and strengthen overall controls.

Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years of experience in Transaction Monitoring / AML / Financial Crime Compliance.
- Strong hands-on experience in L2 Transaction Monitoring and SAR investigations
- Proven team handling and people management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with global stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a GCC / global banking environment is strongly preferred.
