Software Development Engineer - 1 (SDE-1)
Build the backend behind India's next 100M-user apps
This is a outstanding seat for an engineer early in their career who wants to write production code that hits real scale fast, learn from people who've built and shipped at speed, and grow into someone who owns systems end to end.
What You'll Actually Do
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested code for features that go live in front of millions of users.
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand system design decisions and pick up strong engineering practices fast.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, contributing to both frontend-facing and backend-facing services.
- Debug, optimize, and fix issues across the stack - and learn to think about scale, not just correctness.
- Take part in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning - and grow your voice in the room.
What You Bring
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOPs .
- Working knowledge of Java ; exposure to GoLang or Python is a plus.
- Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading basics.
- Some hands-on experience (internship, projects, or 0-2 years professional) building and deploying applications.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases .
- Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and REST API design.
- A genuine eagerness to learn, take feedback well, and grow quickly.
Extra Brownie Points
- Exposure to distributed systems or queue systems like Kafka .
- Any experience with Firebase or WebSockets .
- Have built and shipped a personal project or contributed to open source.
