The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual activities of civil construction projects, including quantity estimation, billing, cost control, subcontract management, and ERP-based project tracking. The role ensures accurate cost management and timely certification of client and subcontractor bills.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying & Estimation
- Prepare and verify BOQ, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates from drawings.
- Support tendering process with rate analysis and cost inputs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and identify quantity variations.
Billing & Measurement
- Prepare and certify client RA bills.
- Verify subcontractor bills and ensure correctness of measurements.
- Coordinate with site engineers for joint measurements and progress updates.
Cost Control
- Monitor project budget vs actual cost.
- Track material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Highlight cost variations and support corrective actions.
Contract & Variation Management
- Assist in preparation of variation orders and claims.
- Maintain records of contractual changes, extras, and delays.
- Support contract administration and documentation.
ERP & Reporting
- Maintain all project commercial data in ERP systems.
- Generate MIS reports, cost reports, and billing summaries.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in ERP for project tracking.
Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, planning engineers, and site teams.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for payments and reconciliations.
Requirements
Education
- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in civil construction projects.
- Experience in buildings, infrastructure, or EPC projects preferred.
