Job Summary

The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and related subjects, fostering critical thinking, awareness of current affairs, and social responsibility among students.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons as per curriculum guidelines (CBSE as applicable).
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, and assessment materials.
- Encourage discussion, debate, and analytical thinking.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Integrate current events and real-world examples into teaching.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
- Support extracurricular activities such as social science exhibitions, debates, quizzes, etc.
- Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators for academic planning.

Qualifications




- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Social Science.
- B.Ed. (Mandatory for TGT/PRT level).
- CTET / State TET qualification (preferred, if applicable).

Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience (for TGT level)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
